In accordance with our By-Laws, and
as approved
by the Board of Directors, a Road Committee
shall be formed. The purpose of this
committee
will be to develop guidelines and establish
a road maintenance procedure that directly
supports our member's roadway safety
and
property accessibility.
The road committee members will establish
their committee leadership and administrative
process. A committee elected chairperson
will make presentations to the board
of directors
or general assembly when required for
policy,
regulation, or budget approval.
Some specific responsibilities of this
committee
are:
1) Develop an annual road system budget
2) General road upkeep and maintenance.
3) Road improvements
4) Communication and coordination with
owners
or their representatives of other
road systems used by our members
5) Adherence to road standards approved
by
our association.
Road:
1. Road Width- 18 ft. standard width,
with
a 16ft. min. width
2. Gravel -1 inch packed
A) Slope on road- according to terrain
B) Water run off/ditches- according
to depth,
flow restriction, vegetation and floodwater
run off.
3. Minimum turn ratio for curves -
50ft.
from center
4. Road Hazards: Identify markers and
barriers
5. Driveway culverts:
A. Minimum of 16 inches in diameter
and extend
3 feet on either side of the driveway.
B. Made of galvanized steel construction
C. With a headwall of stable non-erosive
natural materials at either end.
